Qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix Concludes in Wet Conditions

Montreal, Canada - Jacques Villeneuve, the son of late Formula 1 legend Gilles Villeneuve, won the 1997 F1 World Championship, driving for the Williams team. Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, the site of the Canadian Grand Prix, is named in honor of Jacques' father.

In a dramatic qualifying session for the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen emerged victorious, securing pole position for Sunday's race. Wet weather conditions, including heavy rain and fog, presented challenges for drivers throughout the session.

Qualifying commenced at 4pm local time (4pm GMT) on Saturday at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. After a thrilling battle between top drivers, Max Verstappen ultimately secured pole position, marking his third consecutive pole win. This achievement further solidifies Verstappen's dominance in the 2023 F1 season.
